I was a freshman in high school when the attacks happened. I remember during passing period before 2nd period someone had told me there was some sort of attack in New York. I remember being very skeptical that there was any validity in this claim, but the reality quickly sunk in as I walked into my second class of the day. I sat down as the whole classroom watched in silence replay after replay of the first plane hitting the tower. No more than 10 minutes later we all witnessed the second plane crashing into the towers. It was an terrifying sight I will never forget.
