I remember the day of 9/11 as being a huge mystery to me. I was in Mr. Santacoloma's 6th grade algebra class. Somehow (I am not sure) he knew to turn the TV on to the news where there was a horrifying event unfolding. All the students sat and watched the television with sheer curiosity. When he turned it on, the first plane had already crashed into the building and people in the streets were running and screaming. I knew that it was some kind of attack, but was not positive. It was then time for lunch. I walked to lunch as everyone else did wondering what all of this commotion was all about. I later learned that day that it was one of the biggest terrorist attacks this country has ever seen.
