I found out about the attacks when I got home from school that day. I was in grade 4 and my dad was watching the news downstairs. I could see the pictures of the planes flying into the towers from the kitchen above and I went downstairs and asked what happened. He told me but I really didn't think it was a huge deal. After that all the news played was pictures of the attacks and my teachers talked to us. Living in Canada I didn't feel scared of being attacked myself but I felt bad for the Americans. As time went on I realized the full extent of the attacks including the loss of life and money. Although I don't know anyone personaly who was in the towers or in New York at the time I truely feel sad for them and their families.
