In my life, there was a period of time where I lost someone important. He was my cousin’s father and he pasted away on April 27, 2007 in front of his house in New Castle, Delaware. His name was Walter Smith. He was only 39 years old. He was a great person and a wonderful father to my cousins. The reason for his death was he got into a conflict with two men. Then one of the guys aimed a gun to his head and ended his life. Over a parking spot that was not even worth the time.

When I first found out what had happened I could not believe it. Out of all people to leave me he was that person. It hit me because I was already in a conflict involving my best friend and others. So I was already disappointed about something so when I heard that about him I was more hurt. After my mom told me more information about it and how my cousins were doing I felt hurt. I cried and cried so much it was impossible to believe that I hurt so much for a person I knew little about. Since this happened only a few days ago I am still upset about it his death. On May 1st they arrested the guy who shot him and now he his getting the injection. So I am a little happier since they got the person who took his life. I will never forget him at all. Just looking back and wondering why would someone do something so deathful to someone is so unbelievable to do. I will always party for him because he would never want to see someone down after someone’s death. So after his funeral they will party until Friday for him. Then on Father’s day we will get shirts with his face on them and cookout for him. This was another heartbreaking memoir for me to remember for the rest of my life for ever more.
